see that girl in the middle? that’s my best friend, leah michelle harper. she passed away as a result in a fatal pedestrian-car accident on november 6, 2009. she died at approximately 7:04 p.m. while walking back to the home of a peer whilst taking part in a party in which the friends walked across a busy intersection. leah turned around to go back to the house in which the party was supposed to have been taking place all along. leah was stuck by a car. shortly afterwards, leah was hit by another vehicle & was dragged 20 feet from where she was hit the first time. she was pronounced dead upon arrival to the nearest hospital. leah was eleven when she passed away on that horrific night. nine girls & one boy watched what happened to their peer, classmate, & friend. leah was a loving daughter, sister, & aunt to two nephews & one niece. leah had so much to live for. her life goal was to become a doctor to help other people. leah always put others before herself. she was the definition of an angel upon earth. she was a beautiful girl, inside & out. this upcoming tuesday, january 17th, marks the date of her fourteenth birthday.
